Ghana Meets Cote D’Ivoire

The Ghana National Bureau of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme on 23rd August 2021 hosted two officials from the Ivorian Bureau for a week-long Inter-Bureau Meeting here in Accra. The object of the meeting was to discuss and settle outstanding claims between the two Bureaux. In attendance was Mr. Kwasi Dodzi, the Permanent Secretary General and some members of the Ghanaian insurance industry: SIC Insurance Co. Ltd., Hollard Insurance Co. Ltd., and Activa Insurance Co. Ltd.

Opening the meeting, Mr Victor Obeng-Adiyiah, Chairman of the Ghana National Bureau welcomed the Ivorian delegation and affirmed his support for the meeting which was aimed at bringing comfort to the innocent victims of cross border motor accidents and strengthen the mutual relationship between the two Bureaux.

The Executive Secretary of the Ivorian Bureau, Mr Balamine Dicoh, thanked his Ghanaian counterpart for the warm welcome of his delegation and expressed his wish that the meeting enables both Bureaux address all pending claim cases.

Mr Michael Owusu, Claims Manager of the Ghana National Bureau, assured that all genuine claims of victims from cross border motor accidents will be expeditiously handles and settled as the Bureau is working around the clock to settle claims with its counterparts.
