44TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE BROWNCARD INSURANCE SCHEME

On 29th May 2026, ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme celebrated its 44th Anniversary at the Insurance House, Kanda. The Bureau invited various stakeholders, including the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service, the Joint Association of Port Transport Unions (JAPTU), and member Insurance Companies, to participate in the event.

As part of the celebration, the Bureau donated consumables to the MTTD of the Ghana Police Service in support of their operations. The Bureau also partnered with the MTTD, to undertake a road safety and sensitization exercise along the Pokuase–Amasaman road to educate drivers on the digitalization of the ECOWAS Brown Card Certificate and its benefits for cross-border travel within the ECOWAS sub-region.

The event provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the Scheme, promote road safety, and strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders.
