“As transporters, the ECOWAS Brown Card is a principal tool for us because we cannot move across the borders without it.  In Ghana, the ECOWAS Brown Card facilitates our movement when we have road accidents.  Once we have a valid brown card, our vehicle is released and allowed to carry on with the journey.

The Ghana National Bureau gives us advice on what to do in case of accidents or other challenges occurring in Ghana. Indeed, the Bureau is only a phone call away.  The Bureau works swiftly to confirm our Brown Card cover to enable the police to release our vehicles.

In terms of payment of claims, the Bureau works assiduously to process claims that may arise out of these accidents.
